Ice Cream with Warm Kiwifruit Sauce

Granulated Sugar 750 mL 3 cups

Lemon juice 125 mL 1/3 cup

Butter 125 mL 1/3 cup

Fresh kiwifruit, peeled, sliced 30 30

Sysco natural fresh strawberries,

stemmed and quartered 1.5 L 6 cups

Sysco Pineapple chunks 1.5 L 6 cups

Wholesome Farms Vanilla Ice Cream 3 L 12 cups


  • Combine sugar and 1/12 cups (375 mL) water in skillet; bring to boil. Boil 3 to 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Whisk in lemon juice and butter.
  • Add kiwifruit, berries and pineapple. Stir until coated with sugar syrup; remove from heat.
  • For each serving: Ladle warm fruit sauce onto serving dish. Top with ice cream.
