Plum-Honey Tea Bread Courtesy Of: National Honey Board Plum-Honey Tea Bread 8 servings 2 cups SYSCO all-purpose flour 1 tsp. SYSCO baking powder 1 tsp. SYSCO baking soda 1 tsp. SYSCO Imperial/McCormick ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. SYSCO Imperial/McCormick salt 1/4 tsp. SYSCO Imperial/McCormick ground nutmeg 3/4 cup Wholesome Farms buttermilk 1/2 cup SYSCO Imperial honey 2 tbsp. SYSCO vegetable oil 1 SYSCO egg, beaten 3 SYSCO Imperial fresh plums, pitted and chopped 1/2 cup SYSCO chopped walnuts 1. Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, salt and nutmeg in large bowl; mix well. Combine buttermilk, honey, oil and egg in small bowl; mix until blended. Stir buttermilk mixture into flour mixture until just moistened. Fold in plums and walnuts. Pour into greased 9 x 5 x 3" loaf pan. Bake at 325°F. 50 to 55 minutes or until wooden pick inserted near center comes out clean. During baking, cover top with foil after 25 minutes to prevent overbrowning.
