Nectarine Apple Cobbler Courtesy Of: California Tree Fruit Agreement Nectarine Apple Cobbler 24 servings 4-1/3 lbs. SYSCO Classic apples, peeled, cored and sliced 2 lbs. Nectarines, sliced 2 tsp. SYSCO Natural fresh lemon juice 2 cups SYSCO Classic granulated sugar 2 tsp. SYSCO Imperial/McCormick ground cinnamon 1/2 tsp. SYSCO Imperial/McCormick ground nutmeg 1-1/4 cup SYSCO Classic margarine 4 cups Biscuit mix 3/4 cup SYSCO Classic cream cheese, softened 2 SYSCO Classic eggs 2/3 cup Water or milk 1/4 cup Cinnamon sugar 1. Layer apples and nectarines in 12 x 20 x 2-inch hotel pan; sprinkle with lemon juice. Combine 1 cup sugar, the cinnamon and nutmeg; sprinkle over all. Dot with 1/4 cup margarine.
2. Bake at 275°F for 15 to 20 minutes, stirring once or twice.
3. In large mixing bowl, combine biscuit mix, cream cheese, remaining sugar and margarine, the eggs, and water or milk. Stir until thoroughly moistened and fairly smooth. Drop spoonfuls over fruit mixture; sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar. Return to oven. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes more or until apples are tender and crust is golden brown. Serve topped with whipped cream, if desired.
