Zesty Red Wine and Herb Steak Courtesy Of: Sysco Imperial/McCormick Zesty Red Wine and Herb Steak Serves 24 For Steak 45 mL or 3 Tbsp Sysco Imperial/McCormick Steak Seasoning 45 mL or 3 Tbsp Sysco Imperial/McCormick Italian Seasoning 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Sysco Imperial/McCormick Garlic powder 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce 175 mL or 3/4 cup Olive oil 175 mL or 3/4 cup Red wine 2.7 kg or 6 lb Top round steak, 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick For Cajun Potatoes and Onions 37 mL or 2 1/2 Tbsp Sysco Imperial/McCormick Cajun Seasoning, divided 150 mL or 2/3 cup Olive oil 5 Large onions, peeled and finely sliced 10 Russet baking potatoes, peeled, quartered and thinly sliced 1.18 L or 4 3/4 cups Chicken broth To prepare steak:

Combine first 6 ingredients in a large, self closing bag or plastic bowl. Add steak and marinate in refrigerator 30 minutes or longer for extra flavour. Remove steak from marinade; discard marinade.

Preheat grill. Grill steak 8-12 minutes per side to desired doneness. Slice on the diagonal.

To prepare Potatoes and Onions

Heat olive oil in a large skillet. Cook onions over high heat 5 to 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.

Grease baking dish and add an even layer of potatoes. Sprinkle with 1 Tbsp (15 mL) Cajun seasoning. Top with layer of onions. Make another layer of potatoes, onions, and remaining seasoning.

Add broth and bake at 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 45 to 50 minutes, or until potatoes are softened. Let stand 5 minutes.
