Ground Pork Chili Courtesy Of: The Ontario Pork Producers Ground Pork Chili Serves 4 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Vegetable oil 500 g or 1 lb Lean ground pork 1 Large onion, chopped 30 mL or 2 Tbsp Minced garlic 250 mL or 1 cup Chopped green peppers 796 mL or 28 oz Canned diced tomatoes 30 mL or 2 Tbsp Chili powder 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Ground cumin 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder 5 mL or 1 tsp Salt 5 mL or 1 tsp Ground black pepper 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Worchestershire sauce 540 mL or 19oz Canned kidney beans Heat oil in a saucepan. Add pork, onion, garlic and peppers. Cook over medium heat until pork is no longer pink, about five minutes. Stir frequently to break up pork. Add tomatoes and seasonings. Simmer gently, uncovered, for about one hour. Add a little water if mixture becomes too dry. Add beans and simmer for 10 minutes.

Serve with a dollop of sour cream, or sprinkle with grated Monterey Jack cheese and broil just before serving.
