Five Spice Pork Chops Courtesy Of: Sysco Grocery Five Spice Pork Chops Serves 16 7 mL or 1 1/2 tsp Imperial McCormick 5 Spice Powder 16 200 g or 8 oz Centre Cut Pork Chop 250 mL or 1 cup Orange juice 250 mL or 1 cup Chicken broth 200 mL or 3/4 cup Soy sauce 50 mL or 1/4 cup Light brown sugar 90 g or 6 Tbsp Corn oil 500 mL or 2 cups Onions, diced 250 mL or 1 cup Sliced jalapeno 30 mL or 2 Tbsp Ginger, minced 50 mL or 1/4 cup Orange zest, shredded 45 mL or 3 Tbsp Corn starch 125 mL or 1/2 cup Water Sea salt 15 mL or 1 Tbsp Mix salt and five-spice powder together. Season both sides of pork chops. Mix orange juice, chicken broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, and orange zest together. Set aside.

Heat 4 Tbsp (60 mL) of oil, and brown pork chops on both sides. remove chops. Add remaining oil and saute garlic, onion, ginger, and jalapeno until onions are soft. Add sauce and pork chops.

Cook, uncovered, for 20 minutes. Remove pork chops to serving plates. Mix cornstarch and water and add to sauce. Cook to until it boils. Ladle over pork chops. Serve with vegetables.
