Saucy Stuffed Peppers Courtesy Of: QTG (Quaker Tropicana Gatorade) Saucy Stuffed Peppers Serves 6 6 Medium-sized green peppers 1/2 lb Pork sausage meat 1 lb Lean ground beef 1/2 cup Chopped celery 1/4 cup Chopped onion 1/4 tsp Pepper 1tsp Salt 1 cup Quick Quaker Oats, uncooked 2/3 cup Tomato juice 1 can Tomato soup 1/4 cup Milk Cut 1/4" slice from top of each green pepper and reserve; remove seeds.
Cook green pepper in enough boiling water to cover; about 5 minutes; drain.
Sauté pork sausage meat and beef until lightly browned. Drain well.

Combine meats, celery, onion, cut green pepper tops, salt, pepper, Quick Quaker Oats and tomato juice.
Fill green peppers with mixture. Stand upright in shallow baking pan; add small amount of water.

Bake in preheated oven at 350 degrees F for 45-50 minutes.

Serve hot with tomato sauce made by heating together one can of tomato soup and 1/4 cup milk.
